Introducing sightseeing spots around Gion

Introducing sightseeing spots with excellent access from Waplus Yasaka Shrine.
There are many sightseeing spots in Gion, such as standard sightseeing spots in Kyoto and sightseeing spots suitable for photography.
Gion

Gion

Gion is an area in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, and refers to the area from Yasaka Shrine in the east to the Kamo River in the west. Since the Edo period, it has developed as a geisha quarter, and even now there are restaurants such as teahouses and restaurants. It is convenient to get off at Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Railway.
Yasaka Shrine

Yasaka Shrine

Yasaka Shrine is one of the must-visit places in the Gion-Shijo area. It is affectionately called "Gion-san" by the locals. A Okuninushisha beside the main hall honors the God of marriage, so a visit there brings good fortune and improves your chances of meeting your ideal partner.
There are cute Japanese luck charms that match the kimono, such as the "Ema (votive tablet)” used to make wishes, and the "Gannkake rabbit (a rabbit-shaped good luck charm)", so it might be a good idea to include these in your pictures.

Wapluse Kyoto is a 1-minute walk from Yasaka Shrine! Our proximity to the shrine means that even if your schedule is limited, you will still have time to visit the shrine, take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera is a temple with a long and distinguished history that has been certified as a World Heritage Site. In the precincts, there are the main hall, which is the origin of the phrase "jumping off the stage of Kiyomizu", as well as national treasures and important cultural properties such as the three-storied pagoda.
In addition, there are many sightseeing spots that represent Kyoto such as Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, Yasaka Koshindo, and Kodaiji Temple around Kiyomizu Temple.

Waplus Kyoto is a 5-minute walk from Koshin-do Temple and a 15-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
If you rent a kimono for a day, you can leisurely go around the course from Yasaka Shrine to Kiyomizu Temple, enjoy taking photos, and have tea at a cafe.
